EVENTS – Black Box Bazaar in Belfast tomorrow
The Black Market, Belfast’s premier venue for handmade creative stuff, is no more. In it’s place, the Black Box Bazaar. Which is exactly the same, just trying to stay on the right side of new City Council rules about markets. Says the blurb:
The Black Box Bazaar is a celebration of creativity and the DIY spirit, a marketplace showcasing the work of independent artists, designers, illustrators and crafters alongside bountiful stalls from collectors of records, books and vintage clothing. Whether you are looking for some rare vinyl, a one-off vintage piece or jewellery design, kitsch homeware or fantastic local art, the Black Box Bazaar is guaranteed to please and surprise.
Andy’s taking a break to focus his energies on BarCamp, but I will be behind the stall as usual, with the usual range of self-published comics by cartoonists from both sides of the Irish border. It’s at the Black Box on Hill Street (which Google maps seems to think is called Henry Street) from 12 noon to 5pm, and entrance is free. They do great pizza slices in the cafe in front.
