NEWS – Strip Magazine launches in October

Strip Magazine cover art by PJ Holden
Print Media Productions’ long delayed Strip Magazine is now set for an October launch, and no less than three of its opening strips have an Irish connection. Belfast’s PJ Holden draws “Black Ops Extreme”, written by John Freeman, and the cover; Belfast expat John McCrea draws “Warpaint”, written by Phil Hester; and Dublin’s Stephen Walsh writes “Hush Hush”, drawn by Keith Page, a prequel to their graphic novel The Iron Moon. Also featured are James Hudnall and John Ridgway’s “The Age of Heroes”, the classic 70s sharkspoitation strip “Hookjaw”, remastered from Action by Jim Campbell and Gary Caldwell, “Recovery Inc.” by Michael Penick and Dean Deckard, and an as-yet-unannounced one-off strip by the winners of the Strip Challenge talent search.
