EVENT: 'Green Inking: Graphic Novels & Comic Books by and about the Irish'

Children’s Books Ireland are holding a half-day seminar, “Green Inking: Graphic Novels & Comic Books by and about the Irish“, on the increased visibility of comics and graphic novels by Irish creators and on Irish themes, at the National Library of Ireland in Dublin on Saturday 12 November from 10am til 1pm.
It’s chaired by children’s writer and illustrator Oisín McGann (above, photo stolen from Cork City Libraries’ website), and particpants include Luís Bustos, creator of Endurance, a Spanish graphic novel about Ernest Shackleton’s voyage across Antarctica, O’Brien Press, who’ll be introducing their new graphic novels for younger readers, and a panel on Irish comics and graphic novels with Rob Curley, Tomm Moore and Cliodhna Lyons. Entry is €5, first come first served, or free if you’re a member of Children’s Books Ireland.
