EVENT: ANDY LUKE IN BELFAST XMAS GIFT SHOW – FRIDAY OPEN NIGHT

Until December 20th, the Belfast Arts & Disability Forum (ADF), will be running a Xmas show featuring disabled artists from around the province. 20% of sales from the show help keep the charity involving disabled people in the arts, with the remainder going direct to the artist.

“I’m very pleased to be working with the ADF, who I encountered while promoting Absence. They’ve been very friendly and facilitating and a great way to meet new people,”
The GIFT exhibition is open Tuesday to Friday 11am to 3pm. There will also be a celebratory event on Friday 16th from 6-8pm. The ADF is situated opposite Belfast Central Library, at 109-113 Royal Avenue. Admission is free, and the gallery is fully accessible.
Andy had produced 10 new images for the show, available as cards, presented alongside his previous Xmas Panto comics. Images include “Xmas Pizza”, “Rebekah Brooks Slips On Ice” and “Celebrity X-Factor Strictly Apprentice on Ice with Bobbins on and a Twitter Hashtag”.
The exhibition also features work by Cork artist Jennifer Hanley, who collaborated with Luke and Tommie Kelly on the strip, “Binary Dog Lennox”. Hanley’s contribution consists of mannequins and cushions made from recycled seat-belts.

The gallery can be contacted at info@ adf.ie or from UK (028) 9023 9450 or from RoI (048) 9023 9450 for further details.
