EVENT: 10 Days in Dublin

What is 10 Days In Dublin?

10 Days in Dublin is a multidisciplinary, open-format, arts festival. This means that the festival includes all types of art or performance: music, comedy, theatre, film, painting, sculpture, you name it. We’re run as a not-for-profit venture, and most of our staff work on a fully voluntary basis. We want to provide a platform for all sorts of artists to show their work in Dublin, and we want you to be a part of it. This year the festival runs from July 5th to 14th and submissions are open from February 1st until March 30th.
Dan Bergin, one of the festival directors says to ICN:
“As an open format festival we accept any event or exhibition regardless of theme, content, or political motivation. The idea is to give everyone a fair chance at presenting their work to the public in a festival format, particularly Irish artists.
We had a great first year last year with over 30 acts in more than 10 venues. This year we’re hoping to expand our program and include art exhibitions and films.
We’d love to have something from the Irish comics industry and would really welcome the idea if you or any of the ICN members/readers were interested in creating an event or exhibiting work.
You can find out more about us, and check out the submission forms at our website www.10daysindublin.com
I’m a big fan of comics myself and would love to see something like a comic jam, or even just an Irish comics exhibit happening as part of the festival.
If you’ve any questions or thoughts on the festival please don’t hesitate to get in touch, ”
