AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM YOUR DICTATOR!
NEXT WEEK IS SO AWESOME I HAVE TO GIVE THE WEEKEND TO PREPARE!
Next week marks the first birthday of ICN and what a year we’ve had. As any regular visitor to the site can attest to the amazing amount of talent we have in the Country and it is great that we have a way to show this talent to the country and the world.
So with that in mind rather than just celebrate ICN I propose a much better idea. Next week, and every Solstice week in June will now be called IRISH COMIC APPRECIATION WEEK. Don’t get me wrong, a year of ICN is worthy of celebration but I think we could do something bigger.
SO what have we at ICN towers got planned for next week? Loads!
An Original Page from Thunderbolts from Declan Shalvey.
A Half Past Danger Original sketch By Stephen Mooney.
A Transformers sketch from Nick Roche
A Judge Dredd Sketch from PJ HOLDEN

HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN IRISH COMICS APPRECIATION WEEK:
Whether you are a creator or a fan there is plenty of things that you can do to help out next week. But I have come up with a catchy easy to remember breakdown. It’s called the three P’s.
Buy an Irish comic this week. We will be putting up links everyday where you can buy Irish comics online, but there are also lots available in the comic shops which we will also highlight. If you already own every Irish comic buy one for a friend.
Tell your friends about Irish comics. Annoy them. Force them on them. Use The Twitter hash tag #ICAW so that everyone can see your efforts. Share some of the ICN posts on facebook. Do a review of an Irish comic and stick it on your blog. If you have a website add some Irish comic creators to your links section.
Have you been reading Irish comics for years but never told the creator how much you love their work? Have you been reading an Irish webcomic and never left an encouraging comment? Have you always been a huge fan of someone’s art or writing but never told them flat out? Next Week is the time to write that email, leave that comment or make that phone call!
LET’S MAKE NEXT WEEK AS MUCH ABOUT IRISH COMICS AS WE POSSIBLY CAN! MORE INFO NEXT MONDAY MORNING!
