The Observer/Jonathan Cape/Comics Graphic Story Prize 2012

The Observer, Jonathan Cape and Comica announce the Graphic Short Story Prize for 2012. It’s open to anyone resident in the UK or Ireland, and they’re looking for four page stories, which will be judged by writer-artist Hannah Berry (Britten and BrulightlyAdamtine) and comics evangelist and man at the crossroads Paul Gravett, as well as comedian and writer Charlie Higson, the Observer’s Rachel Cooke, Jonathan Cape’s Dan Franklin, and Random House’s Suzanne Dean. First prize is £1000 and publication in the Observer; second prize is £250 and publication in the Guardian. Entries are to be in by 12 October.
