EVENTS: List of Irish Comic Book Month Events Confirmed So Far

With March representing the first annual Irish Comic Book Month there have been a few announcements of events that are being held around the country. Below is a list of the few events being confirmed so far but if there are more and I haven’t inlcuded them please email and we’ll happily update it.
1. The first event announced was a signing in Sub City with writer Darrin O’Toole. That one takes place on Saturday March 30th in Sub City Dublin. The “Tales from the Void”, “Earthruler” and “The Amazing Mr. X” writer will be on hand in from 1pm-3pm to sign copies books and talk about upcoming projects

2. Next announced was the first Ennis Comic Mart which will take place in the Templegate Hotel in Ennis on Sunday March 24th from 10am to 6pm. On hand on the day will be Coimici Gael EIC Aidan Courtney who will be sketching and signing and Abandoned Comics duo Mike Lynch and Martin Greene who will be signing copies of theirtwice awards winning horror titleNestor. There will also be three comic dealers on the day selling a multitude of comics. Entry is free and is intended to be a friendly place for collectors old and new to congreagate and experience something unique to the town of Ennis and Clare and further beyond.
3. Up next on the announcement board is another signing with Sub City. This time it is award winning creator Alan Nolan who will be appearing in Sub City Dublin on Saturday March 9th from 1pm to 3pm.

4. To celebrate Irish Comic Book Month, Lightning Strike in association with Atomic Diner are holding a talk discussing Irish Comic Book production. The talk will take place in Trinity College in Dublin. On the panel the speakers will be featuring Rob Curley of Atomicdiner Comics, Robert Carey and Ciaran Marcantonio of Lightning Strike, Darrin O’Toole of DOT Comics and special guest Declan Shalvey. The talk takes palce on March 14th at 7.15pm.
