Up this time on 7 questions is Celtic Clan writer Nigel Flood.

What was the first comic work you did that was published?

My first published work was The Celtic Clan #1.

What is the biggest thing you have learned since that book?

Time management. Scheduling time between work and home life so I can sit down and work on my scripts. There is never enough hours in the day.

What’s your process for writing a comic book?

My process for writing my comic books is first coming up with a idea which progresses into story and dialogue. Then I discuss the layout with the artist.

What is the biggest influence on your work?

My biggest influences are Pat Mills, Grant Morrison , Warren Ellis, 2000AD and 80s cartoons.

What are you working on right now?

I am continuing my work on the Celtic Clan also I am working on a new comic for Punt Press called The Globalists. I am also working on short story for Green Monkey Comics Innocent Tales and a crossover with The Celtic Knights.

What do you have out now or coming out next?

The Celtic Clan #2 is out now and Celtic Clan #3 will be released early in 2014.

What is your favourite Irish comic?

There are so many great Irish comics out now its very hard to choose from . My current faves are Half Past Danger, The Wren, Artos and The Celtic Knights.
