This edition of Lockdown Chats is a 2000 AD special! Dave will be in conversation with an array of artists and writers from the 2000 AD universe. Guests will include:

  • Michael Carroll is an Irish writer from Dublin, best known for work on Judge Dredd for 2000 AD and the Judge Dredd Megazine. Also known for his series of superhero novels The New Heroes and for his romantic fiction under the name Jaye Carroll.
  • Maura McHugh is a writer based in Galway and has written a number of comic book stories, including Judge Anderson for 2000 AD, Jennifer Wilde and a Witchfinder mini-series in the Hellboy universe for Dark Horse Comics. She’s also writing a Judge Anderson novella for Rebellion and a story in Ian Edington’s forthcoming Scarlet Traces prose anthology. Her new collection of short stories The Boughs Withered (When I Told Them My Dreams) is out this summer.
  • Eoin Coveney is an illustrator and Comic book artist from Co Cork. His distinctive style and strong linework have seen him working for a highly diverse client base for nearly 25 years.His understanding of narrative art has been informed by working with some of the top names in the Graphic Novel field – including Will Eisner, Gordon Rennie and John Wagner. Since 2013, he has been contributing to 2000AD, co-creating a new story and characters: “The Alienist”, which recently finished its second series.
  • PJ Holden is a Northern Irish comic artist based in Belfast. He has worked for 2000 AD, Warhammer Monthly and Judge Dredd Megazine. Among other stories for these publications, he has provided the art for Rogue Trooper, Judge Dredd and Johnny Woo. Holden’s latest project World of Tanks: Citadel sees him collaborating with Eisner Award-winning comics legend Garth Ennis (Preacher, Punisher)
